Manny Pacquiao’s punches were fast. Some consider them out of the ordinary punches. Mexico calls him their “public enemy.” As we know, Manny Pacquiao had been training 100% for this fight.
Manny did not have the chance to knock out Marco Antonio Barrera. But as the judges scored the bout, Manny’s winning rounds were 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and12. On the other hand, Marco Antonio Barrera’s winning rounds were 2 and 3 only. When the match ended, the Filipinos in the arena were celebrating Pacquiao’s victory. The Lord Almighty helped Manny Pacquiao with his every move.
I say this because, before the match began, he prayed to our creator of the world. I can say that he is also very religious and prayerful because at the beginning of every round and after the match ended, he did the sign of the cross and thanked God for helping him. There was a portion in the fight when I was shocked when Barrera punched Manny while the referee was separating them. That was a point deduction against Barrera. But Manny was such a gentleman that he did not take revenge on what Barrera did to him. For me, as a child, this is Manny’s real winning punches. I just wish he would come here to THE LEARNING TREE and tell us how hard it is to be a boxer and explain how he gets ready for fights.
